What to submit?
ESP Professional Journal is an international peer-reviewed journal that welcomes submissions from authors across the globe.  Authors may submit research articles, book reviews, short communications and practical teaching tips  on topics relevant to teaching and learning English in specific discourse communities: academic, professional, or otherwise specialized. Papers may address topics such as the following from the perspective of English for Specific Purposes:

  • The effectiveness of various approaches to language learning and teaching
  • Curriculum development and evaluation
  • Emerging digital technologies in language learning and teaching
  • Teaching and testing techniques
  • Assessment challenges
  • Teacher education and development
  • Materials preparation
  • Second language acquisition in specialized contexts
  • Needs assessment
  • Discourse analysis
  • Descriptions of specialized varieties of English
  • Educational policies and language learning and teaching
  • Migration and language learning and teaching
  • Future dimensions in English language learning and teaching

Research Articles: 3000 words plus (maximum 6000 words excluding references and appendices)
Short Communications: 2000 words plus (maximum 4000 words excluding references and appendices).
Interviews: 1500– 2500 words with a prominent scholar highlighting their significant contribution in ESP
Book Reviews: 1000– 1500 words of a book relevant to ESP and EAP
Practical Teaching tips:  1000-1500 words that can be in a form of lesson plan or narrative form
